Article: The Headland Hotel
The Headland Hotel
This collaboration began as a chance encounter on the Bodmin to Paddington train, when the Headland Hotel’s Family Director Veryan happened to share a table with Katharine. Each surrounded by fabric samples, Veryan and Katharine realised fairly quickly that Minni Parker and the Headland Hotel were a serendipitous match.
The Headland Hotel has been trading in understated elegance for generations and Minni Parker is known for bridging the gap between classic and contemporary. In the Minni Parker Best Family Suite nothing is designed to be kept for the best, but to bring something special to everyday. With each side of the partnership rooted in family history, and memories of sandy summers on Fistral beach, this collaboration feels very special.
Together, Veryan and Katharine have designed these rooms to bring you the best of British design and sustainability. They are delighted to be working with the beautiful independent British paint manufacturer, Little Greene, who has kindly supplied the paint.
Furniture has been handcrafted in England by Still and Bloom using traditional methods and sustainable British materials, all sourced from the West Country. This is another particularly special partnership as founder of Still and Bloom, Nick, has spent many happy holidays at the Headland Hotel with his family.
British based, Get Laid Beds, has created a bespoke bed for the suite upholstered in Minni Parker’s new Landhaus fabric. This is fitted with a Hypnos Harmony mattress, crafted in conjunction with The Eden Project, made of sustainably sourced plant and fruit-based forces and ‘Responsble Wool Standard’ certified British wool.
